Victor and The Callers is a San Francisco–based band led by singer-songwriter Victor Lin, known for their rich blend of genres and heartfelt storytelling. Their music weaves together soulful ballads, vibrant pop energy, and touches of jazz and R&B, creating a sound that’s both distinctive and deeply human. With lyrics that explore love, loss, family, and the world around us, the band invites audiences into an emotionally charged musical experience. Their debut album Calling My Name (2023) introduced their rich musicality, while their latest release Lucid Dream (2025) takes listeners on an emotional journey through love, friendship, and life’s reflections.
About Victor Lin
Victor Lin is a passionate musician and songwriter whose creative spirit shines through his original works. His debut album, Calling My Name, showcases an eclectic blend of genres—from pop and folk to Latin, house, bossa nova, blues, and rock—reflecting his wide-ranging musical influences and boundless curiosity.
Born and rasied in China, Victor began studying violin at the age of five, and by 2001, one of his original songs was recorded by renowned Hong Kong singer Sally Yeh. Since then, he has collaborated with artists across diverse styles and cultures, experiences that have continually fueled his artistic evolution. In recent years, Victor has focused on songwriting, arranging, and music production, while performing at festivals, pubs, and even busking on the streets of San Francisco.
Victor holds an M.A. in Education and two Berklee College of Music certificates in Logic Pro and Advanced General Music Studies. Since founding ViBO Music in 2003, he has served as its director for over two decades, nurturing a vibrant community of students and educators. He is also a violinist with the San Francisco Philharmonic and founder of ViBO Simfani, a world music ensemble that performs at festivals and community events throughout the Bay Area.
When he’s not making music, Victor enjoys exploring nature and spending time with his labradoodle, Bunbun.
